Heritage Chickens: These chickens are pasture foragers so they will have more forage in their diet but also the grains to provide the protein they need. They do not have as much white meat as the Cornish X or White Rangers. Some say they have more flavor than the Cornish X or White Rangers but may not be as tender. These chickens are best for broiling, slow cooking.
